A Gift That Started It All
JM's Cigars began over 25 years ago with a birthday gift from 17-year-old Anto to his father, John. He fell in love with the cigar instantly, and that moment sparked a simple idea. Could they create a premium cigar of their own? Drawing on his connections in the Dominican Republic, father and son began exploring that idea together. What started as a shared curiosity soon became JM's Cigars, carrying John’s initials and a family spirit that remains at the heart of the company today.
Rooted in the Dominican Republic
That gift eventually led us to the Dominican Republic, a place where the land itself plays a defining role in every cigar. The soil, the climate, and the variety of tobacco grown there gave us exactly the kind of character we wanted in our cigars. It was here that we found the foundation for the complex, satisfying cigars we wanted to create.
